Re: Minnesota Vikings #22

I forgot that Steve Freeman was a VIking. Was he a replacement player? Otto Graham made a lot of questionable decisions, but trading away Krause may have been his worst. Does anyone know the circumstances of why the Redskins sent him to Minnesota? Apparently, Redskins’ defensive backfield coach Ed ...

Re: Obscure trivia

NYJ safety Marcus Maye, 104 yds vs. Denver 2018. Last play of the game. He zig-zagged all over the field and was finally tackled at the 1-yd line, so he probably actually ran 150 yds. Correct and it was one hecka of a hustle play by Sutton to bring him down I'm still waiting on my prize (case of La...

These are just guesses, but I don't remember Curt Warner or James Wilder having great OLs in front of them.
Gale Sayers is another, although he rushed for ~5000 yards

Re: Obscure trivia

I'm a Hall of Fame running back who rushed for over 6000 yards and played 9 years all for the same team. Only one of my offensive lineman got to a Pro Bowl and that was for 1 year. None every made 1st or 2nd team All Pro. bolded is the real gist of my question - Anyone else ever accomplish 6k with s...

Re: Andy Reid vs Tom Landry vs Don Shula

Gibbs changed the offense after the horrible 0-5 start in 1981 to finish 8-8 and set the stage for the Riggins years. Had, three receivers with 1000 yards one year, another with a running back with 24 TDs, and won it with Timmy Smith getting the carries in the '87 playoffs. I think Gibbs had tougher...

Re: Another 'NFL Throwback' from YouTube - EVERY SUPER BOWL RANKED

Yeah if you think that's fair to judge the SB winners on teams outside of the year that they won the SB...so be it. It's not a discussion at that point, so proceed to believe. I'd say the 2000 Ravens probably having the best run defense of all-time places them in as one of the best defenses of all ...

Re: Obscure trivia

The same team that led their league on points scored, yards gained, and turnovers lost. The only other offense (that I've found) to lead their league in all three categories (most points, most yards, most turnovers) is the 2001 St. Louis Rams. The 1979 Steelers led in all those categories as well. ...
