Re: 2023 Predictions

My psychic says she sees a team whose primary color is red winning.

Re: Divisional Playoff Weekend

The line is set to get the same number of bettors on each side. That is the reason for the line.

Re: Divisional Playoff Weekend

I do not understand why Vegas cares what happens. I suppose they want the NFL to get as much attention as possible as that would likely result in more bets but they make their money no matter who wins.

Re: 1945 Championship

I've seen it written that it was 6 degrees at the start of the game. Yes I think I have see a variety of temps listed. Before positing I just checked two sources and they both stated minus 8 so I just went with that and wondered if anyone had something more official. Perhaps the inconsistency in te...

1945 Championship

I have two questions regarding this game. 1) It never seems to get mentioned [that I have noticed] as one of the coldest NFL games. A couple of sources indicate it was minus 8. Is that incorrect or is that actually the wind chill? 2) The Redskins had sneakers but the Rams did not. The Redskins coach...

Re: Has there ever been a team like the Dallas Cowboys of the 21st century?

I think there were signs that this could happen. The Cowboys had been blown out by the 49ers and Bills earlier in the season. While those games were on the road the teams they blew out at home were mostly bad teams at the time [The Rams improved later on]. They almost lost at home to Seattle and Det...

Re: Freezer Bowl

Even though the NFL is more willing to postpone games I don't think history quite supports the perception of the macho purists. Yes they played these NFL championship games in bad weather plenty of fans stayed home. The 1937, 1945, 1948, and 1949 games had attendance dampened by the weather. Maybe o...

Re: 2023 - 24 season first round playoff schedule

Though I want Houston to win, feel the Networks want Flacco and the Browns in Baltimore What do you mean by that? Are you insinuating some stuff is rigged? Not to mention surely the networks would want the Cowboys to be in more championships and Super Bowls. I've seen some people who cite the simil...

Re: 2023 - 24 season first round playoff schedule

Apparently I have Peacock. I guess because I have Comcast? I didn't know I did until a couple of years ago a friend was going to the Nascar HOF ceremony. With not much else on I decided to see if it was on TV. It was on Peacock and I clicked on it and there it was. That and an NFL game was all i hav...

Re: Neutral? Hah!

The Rams loaded up to win that Super Bowl and one of the favorites to win. It was hardly a shock to anyone when they won it all because they had the talent.
