Re: Seahawks trade WR Percy Harvin to the Jets
Jets only gave up a conditional 6th that can become a 4th Hey he's not the first malcontent that has had success. What about Steve Smith. Brandon Marshall? It's a risk the Jets had to take. Low risk, high reward. Plus Harvin profiles as somebody who can step in and play a Tavon Austin at W. Virginia...

Re: Are the Oakland Raiders considering a move to San Antoni
In an era where the NFL wants to be green, family friendly, and get away from the era of dawg pounds or the well lubricated, violent shaking stands of stadiums past...the Oakland Coliseum stands as a throwback. It's a dingy stadium, rough part of town, doesn't seem to have the amenities to keep up w...

Re: '68 Packers expectations
Was the Monday performance at Dallas one of Bart Starr's best ever? Cowboys come in 6-0 on the year (average margin of victory was 25 points in those first six wins), and get off to a 10-0 lead before Starr throws 4 TD passes in a 28-17 win. I'm guessing that game was a night game, but I assume it ...

Re: Worst ending to a career
Nick Lowery had a sad end with the 1996 1-15 Jets. His leg had lost a lot of strength that year as anything over 40 was a chore for him Also Art Monk as an afterthought on the 1995 Eagles George Seifert withering away on the 2001 Panthers Bruce Smith playing out the string as a 40 year old on a 5-11...

Re: Throwing the ball into the stands
Elway I believe did it in 1991. Threw the ball to a handicapped fan. Elway was later fined by the league for tossing the ball into the stands.

Re: '69 Lombardi vs Noll, Shula, Landry
In 1978 Walt Michaels squared off against Noll, Shula, and Landry and went 2-2. Beating Shula twice but losing to Noll and Landry Nice work! Not sure if this response is better suited for this thread or the 'best chance Jets winning Bowl in '80s' thread but what an irony in that Jets had a 7-0-1 re...
