Re: Teams that Actually Benefited From Drafting a Bust
The Packers are not a good example at all. All of their stars came from other teams, and didn't fill spots that would have belonged to that draft pick. Can you imagine how unbelievable they'd have been with all of those guys and Barry or Deion Sanders?! I'd offer the recent and striking example of J...

I've definitely seen Sean Mannion make a start before. He's been around for a hot minute.

Re: Stafford most underhonored player in NFL history?
Does Stafford show up in Rupert's book? (Tangent alert - About a year ago or so I had gotten to a point where I had pretty much read the books on Chris Willis's list I wanted to read and had nothing football related to read. Now I'm back where I usually am with 3 or 4 books I can't seem to get to)....

Re: Antonio Brown
While I am thoroughly disgusted with this numbskull's abject immaturity right now, please let's not act as if what he's done is anywhere close to as bad as Tyrer or Sharper, either. He's a jerk, not a serial rapist or murderer. Despite my disappointment, I echo the sentiments of Brady and Arians. I ...

Last year: 7 AFC teams with 5 losses or fewer
This year: 2 such teams, both at 5 losses
Never see a conference just collapse that quickly before. Every single AFC playoff team has lost to some trash AFC team at some point, too.

Re: Heinicke looks like Tarkenton
Way more teams are going to need a quarterback this offseason than last, where it seemed like everyone had at least a temporary but concrete answer either through free agency or the draft. Given how the season has gone for Rodgers, I have a feeling his odds of staying in GB have increased dramatical...

Re: Cecil Isbell for Canton?
Friedman is as much a contemporary of Isbell as Steve Young is of Aaron Rodgers. Parker is one of the running QBs of that era, so he gets extra consideration on those merits, although I think he is the only one of those besides Friedman who got in and I do find his case borderline. I'd say I prefer ...

Re: college playoffs--predictions
Terrible season of college football this year. Just about nothing interesting has happened. It's to the point where if WKU went 13-0, Bailey Zappe would have easily won the Heisman with the exact same stats, because there wasn't much else worth watching. This sure hasn't been my favorite NFL season...
