Re: Toughest/Easiest schedules in football history
In 1970, the AFL and NFL merged and became the NFL with the AFC and NFC having Inter-Conference games and the scheduling was much different than usual. Unlike the previous 3 years, the teams in the same division would play different teams outside of their division. For instance, in the NFC Eastern ...

Re: NFL Throwback YouTube channel ranks every Super Bowl winner, and loser in two seperate videos.
What do you all think of the 2000 New York Giants? They seem to get a pretty bad rap. Some Giant-fans, prior to 2011, have said to me that they think they're "the worst team to ever make a Super Bowl". Not sure how much higher they should be on the list of runner-ups, not too much higher, ...

Re: Toughest/Easiest schedules in football history
I would think most teams have had a majority of their wins vs. non=playoff teams so "9 out of 14 wins were against non-PO teams" doesn't sound bad to me. Looking at Pro Football reference the 1991 Redskins strength of schedule was +.31. Looking through the seasons that appears higher than...

Re: NFL Throwback YouTube channel ranks every Super Bowl winner, and loser in two seperate videos.
The 1989 49ers should be no worse than sixth in my opinion, and I'd take that team over 84 and 94 personally. 84 should be more like tenth or so, and 94 I'd have in the mid teens. 94 was a great team don't get me wrong (and one that could've repeated in 95 if Steve Young doesn't get injured and mis...

Re: NFL Throwback YouTube channel ranks every Super Bowl winner, and loser in two seperate videos.
First off, thank you for taking the time to type all of that down for reference, very helpful. As for the teams we've mentioned: I'd agree that the 07 Giants are higher than the second worst. If anything, I think you could argue that the 1970 Colts were worse than both of those Giants teams in spit...

Re: NFL Throwback YouTube channel ranks every Super Bowl winner, and loser in two seperate videos.
Vikings were really good in 73. Though, the 74 team arguably played a closer Super Bowl against Pittsburgh than the 73 team did against Miami. I'm not disagreeing with you, as the Vikes theoretically had "a chance" to win SB IX with the score 9-6 in the 4th (as opposed to theoretically ha...

NYG under Ray Perkins, 1979-thru-'82
Set-up the Parcells Era during his brief time as Giants' HC, bringing in Tuna as an assistant along with Belichick, Crennel, and Bill Austin. Ron Erhardt joined in 1982. Quite a staff! Of course '81 was his playoff season, advancing past Philly at the Vet in the 1st round. '82 a respectable 4-5 almo...

Re: Better NFL HC, Jim Harbaugh or Kyle Shanahan?
Sadly for Kyle, if Bart were still in-charge he'd be gone. Not sure any Lynch intervention would help him either (maybe he'd be out as well). And STEINBRENNER?? FORGET it!! He would have either been gone after 2018 or 2020 - take your pick! But luckily for him, not the case. He's still in good faith...

Re: Mahomes, going into SBLVIII today, what HOF QBs has he already 'passed'??
Maybe not the case with some at the time, but going into that infamous (or not -infamous, depending on your view) Patriots/Seahawks Super Bowl, I (and sure-enough many others) did not see Tom Brady as anywhere near 'GOAT'! Maybe Top-Ten but Joe Cool so far away! Despite many, many regular season win...

Re: 2023/24 Super Bowl
As high as I'm actually placing Reid and Mahomes amongst other HCs and QBs throughout history, this actual Chiefs - now - Dynasty I am respecting but not really placing it within 'All-Time-Great' status! The team has transformed from the beginning of this, here, Mahomes Era to what they were this ve...
