I admit that my comment below reflects a college story and not a story about the pros, but it DOES address track downs. I hope you'll indulge this:

When Bear Bryant was coaching at Alabama, one of Alabama's defensive backs let a receiver get behind him. The WR caught the ball and appeared to be on his way to a long TD. The Alabama DB caught the receiver from behind. Bryant was asked how the DB caught the receiver. Bryant said, "The receiver was running for a touchdown. The (defensive back, whose name I have forgotten) was running for his LIFE."

Always liked that quote.
