I've just been thinking about Billy Waddy when recalling the Rams 1979 Super Bowl run. He caught the winning TD pass against the Cowboys in the first playoff game. He caught a long pass to set up a TD in the 3rd Quarter of Super Bowl XIV. After Vince Ferragamo was intercepted by Jack Lambert in the 4th Quarter, one of the Ram coaches in the press box called down to HC Ray Malavasi, "Ray, Waddy was wide open."

I remember in the actual broadcast that Waddy was wide open running to the goal line (it is shown in the NFL Films highlights of Suiper Bowl XIV. Then he wasn´t the same (injuries?). I remember him with the 1984 Vikings in a Saturday game at San Francisco, I wondered if it was the same player, as he appeared in every series, but I don't remember if he catch a pass as a Viking.
