We know the late Sam Mills just might have a chance as a finalist this year in his last year of elgiibility...even though he has some tough, tough competition this year at linebacker in Zach Thomas and possible first-ballot name, Demarcus Ware (I seem to think Ware has a better chance of getting in on his first try than most appear to, sadly for the depths the process has gone with the first-ballot frenzy)...

Furthermore, we know that Steve Tasker just might become a finalist, since we can expect a push for him in his last year of eligibility. While I definitely don't see him getting past the first cut in February, him becoming a finalist for the first time in his last year of eligibility, a la Matthews last year, could be a good omen for Tasker one day getting in the Hall as a senior nominee...

However, one name I can't help but wonder as to whether he will become a semifinalist in his last year of eligibility, since there will be some open spots, though I don't see him getting anywhere beyond that, is Herschel Walker. While I don't see him as a HOFer, since his through the roof numbers were in the USFL, and he never won a championship. I must ask all of you...

What would you say his chances are of becoming a semifinalist in his last year of eligibility? (Yes, I know it won't matter much)
