Aaron Donald

Post by JeffreyMiller »

Anyone disagree that Aaron Donald is already a lock as a first year HOFer? He might have cemented his claim as the greatest DT ever last night, if there was any question at this point.

I thought he had done enough already that if he retired after the 2018 season that he would be a Hall of Famer.

At this point, I think it is a lock. He still has many years left in him (assuming no injuries) to cement it further.

If he retired right now I think he's a first ballot lock.

If Aaron Donald isn't a first ballot lock after watching Bryant Young get into the HOF...just close the museum down

For my money, Alan Page was the best pass rushing tackle ever, with 148 unofficial sacks. Donald can easily catch that number if he continues to play and produce at his current pace. Staying healthy is important but I feel he has a lot of football left and wont retire anytime soon.

FWIW, there are rumors he might be done.

Why do you say that? Donald made it seem the other day he was coming back in 2022.

Quite possibly the best defensive player of his generation. I think for that reason he's likely to be a first-ballot.

Donald will be a first ballot guy if he does not play another down of football.
