Riley Odoms and/or Todd Christensen: HOVG?

Post by Gary Najman »

I have been voting for both Odoms and Christensen for the HOVG the last few years, IMHO they are the top tight ends who haven't been elected, yet I believe they have had little support. Odoms was twice first team All-Pro: in 1974 (unanimous) and 1975, and twice second team (1973 and 1977), while the late Christensen also was All-Pro twice: in 1983 (unanimous) and 1985 (consensus) and also was twice selected to the second team (in 1984 and 1986, plus a first team AFC in 1987). He also led twice the NFL in receptions and another two seasons he was 4th overall, plus he has two Super Bowl victories. Do you think they have a chance to be elected?

for HOVG? Both should get in...but like we've seen lots of really good players get passed up for other really good players

I'm actually shocked that Christensen isn't in our HOVG already. I could have sworn I saw him on the overall list. I guess not!
