Ken Willard, Bill Brown for HOVG?

Post by bachslunch »

Best I can tell, these are the best RBs not in from the 60s-70s, unless you want to consider AFL RBs like Clem Daniels or Paul Lowe. Thoughts welcome.

I would also consider Lowe and Daniels but yes, both of those guys (Brown and Willard) could represent the HoVG with honor.

I think what we're seeing here from all these posts is something the HoF committee has to deal with... there are so many borderline or better players to consider... the wait list could go on forever.

Bill Brown is going to be one of the five guys I nominate this year.

I recall the Sport Magazine players poll-predictions for the 1969 NFL season. The top two running backs were Leroy Kelly and Gale Sayers. It said Mel Farr and Bill Brown came after those two in the voting.

Not sure I'd support either of them.
