NOTE: Here is yet another Thread where the critical content has been lost.
Again, hopefully the Posters will visit and add their photos.

Here are a few of mine:

I think the old Rams night games had a really neat photo quality. I also liked the simple look of the Redskin "feather" uniforms.

Its interesting how far away the stands are from the players...it makes them look more isolated. It really feels like old-time football...bad weather, players making their own heating source, capes, Browns uniforms, etc.

Walter Iooss said that he liked the backdrop of the Coliseum, and he also liked the way the Chiefs would form their huddle in a dignified fashion. I like how the stands are only partly filled...it gives the Super Bowl a personal feel to it.

With the newspapers emptying out their archives and selling off their old wire photos, this is a great opportunity for collectors IMHO - couple of my favorites from the 1940s - the Giants "Brain Trust" and the Giants players waiting for a train

I still have no idea how to post a jpg here. I go to full editor, I choose the exact file (Which I open and look at before), then click attach file and it tells me "No file was chosen" I went to advanced file upload, it showed me a window with the file address, no image and went I hit preview, it disappeared. How hard could this be?

I don't think anything works, go here:

Thanks.

The NY Times pic comes off microfilm. Also, isn't there a 75 year limit on such things?. Do they care about a bad reproduction of an image they would never ever care a whit about anymore? Not used for profit?

I apologize for the awkward attachment. Like the other poster, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to attach a photo.

No, not me. Came across the photo on the internet somewhere. Great pic. Reminds me of simpler times when men were men.

Yep, I agree. You don't see that anymore and these days it doesn't seem that men are men. Maybe you and I are old fashioned.

Not an NFL photo, but a rare 1952 Crown Brand Western Canadian league photo featuring form Los Angeles Ram Dick Huffman. Huffman is only one of three people to have been named NFL Player of the Year/MVP and earn induction into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame (Joe Kapp and Warren Moon are the other two).

Super Bowl XLVI - Part 1

ROME: VATICAN... ALL EYES were on Il Papa.

The high-ranking leaders of the pack were worried.
Everyone knew the Pontiff had been on the telephone with Las Vegas right after Mass that morning and, a little later, also talked with people at Monte Carlo.
Which way had Benny bet?

Did he bet all the dominoes?

Funds were running low.
Like Social Security in America, the Sexual Harassment Fund had put a severe strain on the budget.
Already there were rumors that they might have to sell a few billion dollars worth of paintings, another few billion of statues, and even some of the billions of dollars of gold utensils that are sitting in the churches around the world.
In Philadelphia, Judge M. Teresa Sarmina had refused to dismiss child endangerment charges in the Monsignor William Lynn Trial. Lynn, 61, faced up to 28 years if convicted on all counts and the Archdiocese was paying for the four criminal defense lawyers advising him in court, despite the increasingly apparent complications that presented.
They had already dumped a few million kids and sold off hundreds of school buildings and the real estate market was not favorable.
They all thought they might even have to take a cut in pay.
They had even thought about elevating Saint Jude again and encouraging prayers for the impossible.
A lot depended on Super Bowl XLVI.
(Maybe they could charge the NFL for using Roman Numerals?)

Silently, each held his own thoughts. No one was talking.
They all watched the Pope in that great Vatican theater with the 2000-inch screen.
The game was near the end.
The Pope showed no emotion - gave no signs - didn't say a word - just watched.
With 57 seconds remaining in the game, Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 6 yards, rolled into the End Zone
and New York took a 21-17 lead.

Heads snapped.

The Pope moved.
