A few more Calgary Stampeders connections:

Ernie Warlick (1957-61)
Jack Kemp (1959 pre-season)
Ed O'Bradovich (1961)

After missing a flight to a game, San Diego dealt the troubled Chuck Muncie to Miami in 1984. Before Muncie could suit up for the Dolphins, he failed a drug test and was returned to San Diego. After a stint in rehab, the NFL suspended Muncie indefinitely.

In 1985, Rozelle lifted Muncie's suspension and San Diego traded the reinstated Muncie to Minnesota. Muncie appeared in the exhibition season with the Vikings, but was suspended for the 1985 opener against San Francisco for violating the terms of his reinstatement. Muncie shortly thereafter.

Along those lines, Lawrence McCutcheon started 1980 with Denver. Then, he went to Seattle for the rest of the year before finishing his career the next year with the Bills (playing in six games and starting three).

How about Vagas Ferguson playing in the NFL? Never knew he did, especially leading New England in rushing his rookie season! I remember him strictly due to the Sunday morning Notre Dame highlights packages.

I watched "This Week in Pro Football" from Week 3 of the 1970 season today and I saw someone in a Saints uniform that I did not expect to see in a Saints uniform: WR Kenny Burrough.

As was Mac Lane. They were both there for part of the ‘77 season after Starr cut a Brockington from the Packers after the first game of the season.

I watched another "This Week in Pro Football" from 1970 today and during the highlights of San Francisco vs. New Orleans Billy Kilmer was mentioned as a "former 49er." I did not know that Billy Kilmer ever played for the 49ers.

Kilmer was the one who fumbled leading to the infamous Jim Marshall wrong way run vs. the 49ers.
