Tony Terry, a defensive lineman on USC's "Wild Bunch" defense in the late 1960's, and who played with the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams, passed away on August 6th in Las Vegas at the age of 69.

Ron Vander Kelen, a quarterback who played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1963-1967, died on Sunday. He was 76 years old:

Vander Kelen was part of the classic 1963 Rose Bowl game between #1 USC and #2 Wisconsin. Early in the fourth quarter, USC led 42-14, but ended up holding off a monster comeback that made the final 42-37:

Leon Donohue, an offensive lineman for the Cowboys (1965-67) died on Aug 11, according to news reports. He was 77. Cause of death was not given.

Former Redskin and Lion Harry Gilmer has died at the age of 90. He also was Lions HC in 1965-66 and served as an assistant with the Steelers, Vikings, Cardinals (twice) and Falcons:

Former Rams & Bears E Larry Brink died August 7, aged 92.

He was the last surviving member of the Rams 1951 Championship team and also the Bears oldest living former player at the time of his death.

Harry Gilmer was one of the most famous college football players of the 1940's at Alabama and was an iconic SEC player. Gilmer was best known for the "jump pass."

Former Detroit Lion Jim Gibbons has passed away Saturday at the age of 79. Apparently, his 65 yard catch and run touchdown at the gun to beat the Colts in 1960 remains the longest pass play to end a game in regulation time in NFL history.

It came after the Colts had apparently won the game with 14(?) seconds left on a TD pass.
