According to this link, you can access the archives of the Dallas Morning News for free via the Dallas Public Library, and you don't need a DPL library card:

Her original post talks about a library account, but she provides an update a bit further down in which she claims you can access the database without logging into a library account.
I tried and cannot get it to work. Maybe one of you can do it. If so, please post how you did it.
