After 14 games this season, Christian McCaffrey's stat line is:

Rushing: 244 carries, 1292 yards, 5.3 yards per carry, 13 TDs.
Receiving: 57 receptions, 509 yards, 7 TDs.

This would have been sensational in the 14-game era.

Whats intriguing is that the Purdy-McCaffrey MVP debate is similar to what Warner and Faulk went through in 99 and 01.
The young QBs being helped by great all-purpose backs.
I would go with McCaffrey over Purdy, though he will probably win the passing title. Neither are as valuable as Mahomes however, who is about to win the AFC west despite a bad year from the wide receivers. Even Kelce is distracted by the Taylor Swift hoopla.

Some people will go with Lamar Jackson, whose game suits the defense, despite an inconsistent passing game. Like the Dolphins and Tags, who will also get votes, could things be lining up for a possible Ravens postseason run?
