Beast Mode

One take-away from the voters who embarrassed the HOF this past january, by playing scrooge to the families, friends and admirers of player Art Powell and HC Buddy Parker, was their ability to remember and honor fresh modern players, that could possibly help the case for Marshawn Lynch as he qualifies for the HOF. I dont believe Lynch would get voted in first ballot, but do believe he is worthy of election and you wonder how his candidacy might affect other deserving runners awaiting election?

Adrian Peterson will be the next first ballot runner but you wonder if Beast Mode could get voted in before Fred Taylor, Tiki Barber or even Frank Gore? A true power runner, who defied defensive players, in the Walter Payton tradition--without his smoothness--Lynch should be fresh in voters minds as much a winner as a runner--

Everyone assumes he would have scored the winning TD to go back-to-back as a champion but people also forget him being stopped before the endzone by a great tackle from Hall Of Clutch member Dont'a Hightower of NE. When the Seahawks failed on a pass attempt that even the Patriots anticipated, Lynch knew the team had to pay upcoming team stars and that his days in Seattle were numbered.

His importance in team wins, postseason success and TDs scored should get him voted in at some point in the next five years I predict, yet we will see if he simply waits in line while Taylor, Peterson, Gore, Barber, Craig--as senior--and McCoy, await their HOF dreams ...
