Well, my memory isn''t what it used to be. I looked on the Internet Wayback Machine and found the old website for The Football Project and it says was founded in 1998 by Sean Lahman and Todd Grenier. I thought they had wanted to do it years ago but didn't have enough volunteers to do it. Maybe I am thinking of something else though...I just know it had to do with play by play or gamebooks. It was called the Football Project and was run by Patrick Gilligan was now runs the Football Database webs...

I have just been looking at the Gamebook for the Dolphins @ Browns game from this weekend. Specifically the penalties. I believe there is an error. The gamebook reports the penalties for Cleveland to be 9 for 84 yards. When I add their penalties up I get it to be 9 for 94 yards. It appears the issu...

The PFRA linescores (and Neft's totals) were cobbled together decades ago when there were very limited resources - newspapers, gamebooks, official game-by-game stats - so they are not going to be 100% accurate.
