Here's my take on Reid.

If he wins a 3rd straight Super Bowl and 4th in 6 years, I can see a scenario where he rides off into the sunset. He really doesn't have anything else to prove. He'll have a bust in Canton when it's all over. The only reason why he might stay would be to catch Don Shula's record of 328 wins, he's currently 55 wins away from that. He'll also be 67 in March. I can see maybe another 4 years potentially if he wanted to stay on.

Again, I can also see a scenario where if he wins a 3rd straight Super Bowl in New Orleans, I can see him hanging it up as well.

Many thought that last year, Danny. Yet, with Mahomes being the current television superstar, Reid, like Belichick with Brady, will ride this wave for all its worth. It helps having an assistant, thats built a very coordinated defense.

With Lamar Jackson stuck in playoff loss, purgatory, the Bills and Josh Allen have to change the narrative of Mahomes and Reid trying to catch Brady and Belichick. If not, its up to the NFC, but who knows?

The idea of a small-market, but highly visible team in Buffalo winning the SB against a newly sold team, that got rid of its albatross owner, with a great rookie QB in Washington, sounds like a winning script to me ... haha

Dude is riding the coattails of Mahomes

It would help if the Bills just kicked extra points, instead of chasing points. Changed the game.

Marty Schottenhiemer was pretty good, too. I'm not the biggest Andy Reid fan, but he got Philly to a lot of NFC Championship Games and the Super Bowl and didn't have any all-timers on his team. Brian Dawkins was probably his best player. Owens was hurt for much of the year, but they still made the Super Bowl.

I don't think Andy Reid is one of the greatest coaches of all-time by any stretch. But I respect what he did in Philadelphia and he wasn't a failure by any stretch. McNabb was good, not great. IIRC, that team didn't have any true superstars like a lot of perennial contenders. And with Schottenheimer, I mean, John Elway was incredible. He was Mahomes-like for his era in terms of pulling out AFC Championship wins and comebacks in the regular season. Then he ran into Tom Brady when he was with SD.

McNabb had a helluva career without weapons, except for Owens briefly, Westbrook and some blue-collar tight ends. Like with Spags in KC, Reid had a great defense with Jim Johnson.
