-One of the best of his era, Bob Carroll recognizes it here: http://www.profootballresearchers.org/a ... 05-233.pdf

-And this is a really good book for all-decade teams: https://www.abebooks.com/9780020283003/ ... 283008/plp

-Postseason honors each year he played here: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/ ... MiJi20.htm

Sonnenberg is another good option for HOVG: https://www.profootballresearchers.org/ ... 084#p38886

Interesting... he was an "owner," too.

In 1932 he was given the chance to buy stock in the Bears. This purchase eventually allowed him to become one of the team's vice presidents.

Nice find. Thanks @JuggernautJ. After working on the '20s and '30s all decade teams, I feel my 5 nominations may be set for life:

Sonnenberg
McMillen
Latone
Christensen
Gutowsky

I love that "Enforcer" is a position on this team!
It is odd that Wilbur "Pete" Henry is listed as Wilbur under Tackle and Pete under Punter... that might be confusing to some.

I made the chart and that is how the name appeared in the books ... I suppose I could change it cor clarity but
unknown why the punter name was listed differently by PFC --- but on others it was one thing and Daluy/O'Donnell did it another way
but I think most know he had both names -- what he may have been known most by is "Fats" ... at last possibly.

I wasn't complaining... just expressing surprise.
I'm pretty sure just about anyone who knows who Fats Henry was knows he also went by Pete.
And no one called him Wilbur...

Who do you think might've been the second string "Enforcer?"
Still smiling about that.

For the 1920s? That's above my pay grade ... maybe one of the wrestlers - -

:) To me though, it was kind of an unforced error. If they had just put Trafton at Center, it would have been a perfect team, but I'm guessing they really liked Clyde Smith's 3 1st team All Green Bay Post-Gazette selections, so they put him at Center which worked out for the book because they had several stories about Trafton fighting and nothing on Smith. (It would have been hard for them to make up a position for a player they likely didn't know much about.)

Gus Sonnenberg! (Really I have no idea - maybe Frank Nesser)
